RNA – Speaking at a conference entitled “Examining the Nature of British Shi’ism” in Tehran, Dr. Hasan Rahimpour-Azghadi, a member of Iran’s Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution, said that British or Mi6 Shi’ism is a form of Shi’a Islam that is loved and strengthened by the United States, United Kingdom and Israel.
“Of course, such Shi’ism is not limited to an individual or group of people or satellite networks, but rather, this ideology is misguided and anti-Islamic,” he said.
He pointed out that this ideology is not new and existed even before the existence of the US and Israel in the early period of Islamic history and added the propagators of this ideology were the same ones who fought against Islam and Imam Ali in the battles of Siffin and the Camel, against Imam al-Hasan in the battle against Mu'awiyah and against Imam al-Husayn in Karbala.
“Their uprisings were left alone because they said the Shi’as want to be neutral so they don’t face any difficulties following the battle,” he added.
Dr. Rahimpour-Azghadi said that British Shi’ism is a spectrum and even has roots in some Islamic Seminaries and that the interpretation of Shi’ism by the adherents of this ideology is that Shi’ism is a religion which is world-oriented, comfort-seeking, self-centred and opportunist.
The Iranian scholar said that the leaders of organized groups should be identified and exposed because the injustice that this ideology seeks to impose on true Shi’ism is greater than the harm that the other enemies of Shi’ism seek to inflict.
He said that conflict between Muslims, the creation of sectarian violence and compromise with Israel are specific features of British Shi’ism. He said: “They seek to secularize boards, mosques and seminaries,” and added that we will not be captured by the enemies’ conspiracies if we adhere to the path of Islamic education, knowledge of Shi’ism, patience, insight and vigilance.
Dr. Rahimpour-Aghadi noted the US’ and Israel’s pleasure at the discord and carnage between various Muslim sects, saying that during a speech to the Zionist lobby, John Kerry, the US Secretary of State, stated that yesterdays’ Thirty Years’ War between European Christians states has been launched in the Middle East between Muslims today.
